I was actually intending to cancel Splendies after this package came. I usually only get one one pair I can wear and none I REALLY love. They’re no where near as bad as Unmentionably Cheeky (which apparently no longer exists) was but they do have a lace fascination. Some months I have gotten 3 pairs of lacey underwear. I don’t like lace. If the undies are all lace I out right won’t wear them. So, I was going to cancel and subscribe to something else instead.
Than they go and send me this package this month.
I can and will wear all three of these. None of them are visually unappealing to me and they all look fairly comfy. So, I’m going to stick with them for one more month. I DO really like getting new undies on the mail. Especially when I get ones I get ones I like but would never buy myself.
Blue with red, pink and white flowers and lace trim (brand: Youmita)
I don’t LOVE these. As I mentioned, I’m not a fan of lace and the flowers and colors of these look just a bit like furniture you’d see in a 90 year old lady’s house. But they are soft and i’m willing to bet they will look cute enough on. There isn’t enough lace for these to be unwearable or unappealing to me.
Blue with pink and white hearts and ruffle with pink trim (brand: Spreegirl)
These are definitely not ones I would ever buy myself. They’re way to girly and I’m not sure how the ruffle is going to look on. I think these are supposed to be the Valentine’s themed pair (I’m assuming anyway…because of the hearts). They’re ridiculously cute and I since I didn’t pick them out myself I won’t feel silly wearing them.
Black with pale pink lace trim and pale pink corset lacing (brand: Youmita)
These are my favorites. I would buy these myself if I saw them in a store and could afford them. The material is very slick and silky feeling. I imagine they will feel nice in the summer. I wish I had a bra to match them. I always want my bra and panties to match but I have rarely owned matching sets. Mostly due to companies not making many bra styles in my size. I would see if this company does but they have an annoying process to even view there website where you have to register (with your home address) just to look at the things they sale. This is the same reason I don’t have value listed for each pair of undies.
I’m happy with Splendies this month. I’m going to stick it out for one more month at least. Then I’m going to cancel (at least for a while until a good discount code comes along…its more worth $9 or so for these than it is $14). I really do need undies right now. None of my pre-pregnancy x-smalls fit comfortably anymore. And the larges I wore at the end of my pregnancy don’t fit well, either. So, I only have the smalls and mediums I wore in the middle of my pregnancy and the ones I’ve bought since I had the baby that actually fit. Which isn’t many pairs at all.
$14 for 3 pair of name brand underwear per month.
Can get your first months package for $9 with a code that appears on the main page of the website. I think the code is just “splendies”.
*Colors aren’t showing up correctly on my iPod camera for some reason. Probably a white balance issue but I don’t have time to take the photos with my good camera right now. So, just excuse to off colors in the picture and go by the colors in the descriptions, please.
