The issue I’ve had with most frozen meals, especially gluten free ones, is always that the portion sizes are tiny. I don’t have a huge appetite and these little meals still never fill me up.
The taste and texture of the meal is good, though. The sauce is a bit sweet. I add my own soy sauce to add a bit of salt to the taste. The vegetables are crisp and the chicken tastes like chicken. Both of those things aren’t guarantees in frozen meals.
The amount of chicken and the size of the pieces aren’t the same as in the picture, though. The pieces are smaller and there aren’t many of them. This isn’t super surprising though and you CAN see chicken in the bowl. So, it isn’t super misleading.
It does contain soy but no dairy that I can tell. It’s also certified gluten free. It has 260 calories, 3 grams of fat and 14 grams of protein.
This isn’t bad for a snack but I don’t think its enough for an actual meal. Maybe it would work as a light lunch. Overall as a gluten free frozen meal option it gets a thumbs up, though.
