Birchbox July 2015
This month’s theme was “Go Bold”
The look of the box fits the theme.
I got some pretty good products this month. Value wise anyway and there are a few things I can actually use. So, it’s much better than the last two months.
There was an ad card for Benefit products.
There seems to be a deal going on now where you can get a free deluxe mini of mascara or eye liner with any Benefit product.
They’re Real! Push Up Liner
The second photo is the sample opened obviously.
I love Benefit products. I’m not usually a fan of liquid liner but we will see how the gel liner is. I haven’t gotten the chance to try it out, yet. I’m not sure how to. The sample is tiny and the applicator is weird and hard to even hold at that size.
I was skeptical about this product. It felt dry and sticky at first. It did seem to have brightened my skin by the next day, though. I’m going to continue using this product as long as I have this sample. I doubt I’ll buy more, though. It’s just to expensive.
Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Bella
This is a very very bright color that totally clashes with my currently mostly orange hair. I gave it a shot, though. It is very, very dry when it sets and it looked awful on me. I couldn’t get it to not look horrid on me. I just can’t wear the long lasting lipsticks. My skin and lips are to dry.
Dry Texturizing Spray
I’m not sure what this is supposed to do but all it did to my hair was make it stiff and dull looking like cheap hairspray. It smells like cheap hairspray, too.
Luminous 3-Minute Peel
I used this the same night I used the Ceramidin. So, I’m not really which one did the most to my skin. Maybe the combination of the two helped. My skin did look a lot better afterwards, though.
This box had a good value.
I liked this month’s box. I received at least two products that I will continue to use and maybe three if I liked the eyeliner. I’m happy with this month’s box.
