Every month you receive 6 stationary designs, 4 sheets of each design, for $10 including shipping. There are also options where you can pay more for more sheets of each design but you always get 6 designs.
The stationary is always standard letter sized and fairly thick. You can write on both sides easily (although only the front has the design on it). You get both lined and unlined. Sometimes the lines are grid form. It varies month to month. This month it’s all lined and one grid but usually you get at least 2 or 3 unlined. There is no option to state preferences and everyone gets the same designs. I don’t know if designs ever repeat (I kinda hope they do since I love some of the designs) but I do know you can’t buy any of them. They’re all exclusive to the subscription.
All the stationary sealed inside a plastic bag and the outer envelope is almost completely covered in tape. So, even if it gets wet during shipping it is usually fine.
You can see two designs from the outside of the bag. I always love my first peek at this month’s designs. Although, almost always my favorites of the month are inside the stack.
There were no unlined designs this month. Which is awesome. I’m not a fan of unlined stationary. I have horrible handwriting as it is.
Tandem bicycle and flowers in oranges, yellows and browns on white stationary
This was one of those first designs I saw. I admit I wasn’t thrilled about it. Bicycling has never been a big thing for me due to the places I have lived not being bicycle friendly (like living an hour by CAR from anything). So, I haven’t really ridden a bike since I was a kid. It’s a cute even print, though and I’m sure i’ll use it for something. I like the colors. I love Fall colors.
Envelopes and Mail Art Supplies on bright green bordered pale pink paper
It’s hard to see but there are lines on this paper and there is actually a white filigree pattern in the pale pink background. I loved this design the instant I saw it. I don’t actually use washi tape (out of my budget and no real space to keep it) but I do use other mail art supplies and I love the color scheme of this design. This is one I’d pick out if I were picking out designs myself to buy,
Elegant Couple on Yellow Design
This is my least favorite of this month. I don’t really know why. It just struck me as bland. I’m sure lots of people love it, though and I’ll use it. It just isn’t my taste in general.
Cats On Purple Paper
Multi colored cats with “Meow” and “Pet Here” on purple textured paper. Soooo cute. This was another one of the first designs I saw. I loved it. Everyone loves cats, right? Okay not everyone but most everyone that matters. 😉
Frankenstein Couples on Green Paper
SQUEEEEEEEEEEAAAALLLL! My favorite design ever. That is all.
Ahoy There With Pirate and Whale on pale blue Grid Paper
I love grid paper. I buy grid notebooks to write in all the time. So this design is great to me. My daughter had a sleeper when she was smaller that actually matched this design. 🙂
Well, the Frankestein is my favorite of the month for sure. Mail Art comes in second. Ahoy comes after that. Then the cats. Then the bicycles and the couple at the end in that order.
This month there was also a little bonus notecard.
It’s very cute. I think this design is sold in their etsy shop but I’m not sure.
The URLs for the subscription page are on the cards in the photo at the beginning of this review.
If you subscribe and then want something to do with all your pretty stationary you should check out the The League of Extraordinary Penpals. It’s $6 a month (or cheaper if you pay further in advance) for access to lots of awesome stuff. You can check it out here:
* I still have not mastered getting the lighting right on my photos. I can photograph people perfectly but things on a table? not so much. So the photos have weird lighting. I’ll get it right eventually. *
