It was raining pretty steadily the day I received my La Papierre Stationery Subscription this month. My envelope got a bit wet. Which is visible in the picture.
My stationary inside was fine, though.
On first look it looked like a good month. I mean, I’m Halloween obsessed. So, I’d of loved ALL Halloween designs but I guess it would have made more sense to send those earlier so they could be used in October and they did indeed have some Halloween designs last month.
Anyway, I really liked the two designs I saw on first look. So, we can start with those two.
Blue-ish green striped lined paper with We Click! at the top and a woman holding a camera in one top corner and a camera and polaroid photo in the other corner.
I love cameras and photos. I am not great about being in the moment when things are happening. I’ve never been good at that. Taking photos mean I don’t miss the good moments because I have photos of them. It helps me connect with time and people where as usually I can’t help but stay in my own head and I miss everything. So, I love this paper. 🙂
Brown that bleeds into orange that bleeds into green lined paper with white spots all over it and a coffee cup on a saucer with a spoon in it in the bottom left corner.
I’m not a coffee drinker but this is pretty paper. I like the color scheme. I have lots of friends that ARE coffee drinkers. So, this will be nice for writing them.
Rabbit & Bird Sketch
White paper with lines and little drawings of birds, logs, houses, trees and a moon and a rabbit. The little drawings look like really well done children’s drawings.
I love this paper. It’s adorable. I think it’s my favorite of the month.
Yellow, grey and blue striped paper with dog heads and “woof” at the top. It’s kind of lined. The top half is striped with wide enough striped to write in like lines but the bottom half is really small stripes and would be hard to write in.
I don’t love how this design is lined. The stripes at the top half are good and writable but the bottom half is almost unusable. It’s not wide enough stripes to write but it’s dark enough stripes to make it hard to read anything written over it. I’ll probably use this for short notes written with trades or orders.
Lines white paper with a blue side bar containing white sketches of mason jars and a mason jar in the bottom right corner with flowers in it.
Very cute, simple design. This one has good letter writing lines. I like it.
Fountain Pen & Ink
Dark yellow/gold with dark pink lines and top border. Space labeled date in the top right corner. A stamp saying “Hi” in the top left corner. Bottom right corner has a pen and ink well.
I’m not a fountain pen user. I’m to messy and occasionally clumsy for that. I end up with my hands covered in ink most of the time when using regular pens. So, they’re just not for me. I love this paper, though. It’s very cute and I love the Date space at the top.
Well, that’s this months stationary subscription. My favorite is the white paper with the bird and house sketches for sure. We Click comes in second. Fountain pen & Ink comes in third. Fourth is Mason Jars, Fifth is the Coffee and Dog Heads come in last. I would have loved all the designs this month if not for the weird stripes on the bottom half of the dog head paper. That was the only thing I didn’t like this month.

I don’ t see myself stopping this subscription anytime soon. I am building up a surplus of stationary that I have no idea what to do with but I don’t care. I’ve always been stationary and office supply obsessed. I don’t think I can give up this subscription. I looooooove it.
