La Papierre January 2016
This wasn’t a bad month at all. It isn’t my favorite month but I liked the designs for the most part. I am, unfortunately considering canceling my subscription. Not for any reason having to do with the actual subscription, though. It is just that I have soooo much stationary now built up and I hate to keep getting it and letting it build up more and more when i’m barely using any.
I DO love stationery, though. I love getting new designs every month. So, I probably won’t cancel. I really feel like I should but I probably won’t. Maybe I’ll get a notebook with page protectors or something to show off my stationery collection? There has to be some better way to storing it than just putting it all into a box. Anybody have any ideas?
Anyway, on to this month’s stationery.
Brown Lined With Pinecones
I really like this design but the paper is so dark that I worry it won’t be easy to see writing on it. I think I’ll have to use a thick point black pen, I believe, to feel comfortable writing a letter on such dark paper. That aside, though, it is very pretty paper. I like dark colors in general.
Pink Lined With Lips, Shoe, Drink and Panties
Odd little designs. It has a definite Sex & the City feel. It’s very cute. It isn’t my favorite ever or anything but there isn’t anything really wrong with it, either.
White Lined With Hipster Guy
This is probably my least favorite of this month’s paper. There just isn’t a lot of writing space. The design is way to big. I can probably use this for notes included with trades or etsy sales (when I start back doing those) but it definitely isn’t enough writing space for me for letters.
Blue Grid With Puffins(?)
I like grid paper but I don’t like birds. So, I am torn on this one. 🙂
Pale Blue/Purple With Children and Sled
I like this one but I don’t like the faint brick design in the background. My eyes try to focus on it and can’t focus on the writing I’m trying to do. This isn’t an issue most people would have, though. I’m weird. It’s a very cute and sweet design. Great for a letter to a child or Grandparent.
Circus Design with Multi Color Stripes on Blue Lined Paper
I love this one. It’s easy to write on, it’s fun and colorful without being to distracting. The stripes take up a bit more space than I’d like but there is still plenty of writing space left. So, it isn’t really a problem. It’s really fun paper.
The circus design is definitely my favorite of this month’s designs. The brown pinecone design is my second favorite. The Hipster guy is my least favorite largely due to the lack of actual writing space. The others fall somewhere in the middle. I don’t out right hate any of them, though. I rarely get designs I out right can’t use. It happens but it’s rare.
