It had been awhile since I had been into a Lush store (or on the website) and really had a chance to look at everything. So, I had never seen the Fun before. I thought it was bath bombs or bubble bars at first. It was soft when I picked it up, though and an employee told me about it later on.
Fun is a soft soap that feels just like play doh. It’s intended for kids to mold it and play while they wash. It can be used as soap, shampoo or bubble bath. It previously came in five different colors (red, pink, yellow, green and blue) and they recently added a sixth color (gold) and two color combinations ( rainbow, a swirl of six rainbow colors, and aliens and monsters, a combo of pink purple and green). Each color has a different scent. So, I don’t know it they smell when mixed to mold shapes send things like the catalog photos show but individually the ones I smelled all smelled good.
I bought Gold. It has a sweet vanilla toffee smell. On the outside it looks shiny and glittery. That shiny color comes of on your hands when you touch it, though and on the inside it is sort of a dull yellow. The shiny color washed off my hands easily but I have no idea if it would have stained clothes or not. So, I would suggest being careful about that.
I held a small amount of it under my running bath water and used it as bubble bath. It made lots of bubbles but it didn’t exactly color the water gold. It just sort of made it murky. It seemed the bubbles faded quicker than I would have liked as well. The water and bathroom smelled awesome, though. The scent also has lingered in the bathroom and on my skin. It’s a pleasant scent and I like when subtle pleasant scents linger. So, that is a big plus.
Overall, this isn’t my favorite Lush product. I prefer the bath bombs and bubble bars that turn my water pretty colors. I don’t regret the purchase. It is worth trying. It really does smell lovely. It just isn’t a product I would buy repeatedly.
