After trying the blonde macaroons and loving them I thought I would give these crackers a try.
These crackers are gluten free, raw and vegan. The cheesy in the title is a bit misleading. These crackers don’t contain any dairy. I assume the name refers to their taste.
They do taste slightly cheesy. They also taste of herbs. They contain oregano, thyme and rosemary. While the Rosemary taste is most prevalent to me you can definitely taste all of the herbs. Nutritional yeast provide the hint of a cheesy taste.
The texture is a bit odd. They’re not crunchy. They’re a bit chewy. It isn’t a bad texture. It just isn’t the texture you expect from a cracker.
I don’t know much about raw food. This texture may be normal for raw crackers. It could even be really good compared to other raw crackers.
All in all I would say these are great if you are on a raw diet or want to incoperate raw foods into your diet. They’re especially good if you are new to the raw diet as the texture isn’t super different from normal crackers.
However, if you’re not a fan of the raw diet and like crunchy crackers then these wouldn’t be for you.
If you do want to try GoodBites Cheesy Crackers I purchased these from Thrive Market. They were $1.55. I think they’re around $2.50 most places. Maybe a bit more. If you are interested in joining Thrive Market (you can get a free month trial and after that you can sometimes get a discount membership your first year if email them about canceling because the amount is to much for you this year) you can do so at this link: http://thrv.me/AdC1UW
If you don’t want to join Thrive Market you should be able to find these at your local health food store or co-op. If not you can always request them.
