I was a bit skeptical of this. The only ingredient is green lentils and I don’t even really like green lentils. I have been looking for a gluten and corn free pasta option, though. So, I decided to give it a shot.
It cooked really well. Several reviews I read said it was impossible to overcook and never got gooey and gross the way sims gluten free pasta can get if even slightly overcooked and that does seem to be the case. It has a really good al dente texture.
I made a goulash out of it and my husband even really liked it. He doesn’t have to eat GF and I often make him normal pasta but not always and he said this was the only of the GF pastas that he would choose over normal pasta. It had a really good taste to it. It didn’t taste anything like lentils but it was good enough that I could have eaten it plain. I also had no digestive issues at all with this. Which I can’t say about any other G-Free pasta. I’ll definitely be buying more.
I purchased this from Thrive Market. It can be bought other places but Thrive Market is where I’ve personally seen it cheapest. We love our Thrive Market membership and can’t recommend it enough for anyone that buys specialty products (gluten free, vegan, organic etc) often.
